Welcome to the Ringley Suppliers & Contractors panel
What is ringleypanel.co.uk?
ringleypanel.co.uk is the system that Ringley staff use to procure the services of Suppliers and Contractors. Growing pains made it necessary for us to build ringleypanel.co.uk to ensure that work is distributed fairly, without bias on based on how we but more importantly the Clients whose money we spend rate your performance.
Why ringleypanel.co.uk?
Increasing legislation puts a burden on us to know that your insurance, Corgi registration etc... has not expired before we instruct a job. Where the type of work you do involves working at heights, working in occupied premises or to use equipment, we have a legal duty to know that your company and your operatives are properly trained to use such equipment. For example the Working At Heights Regulations under directive (2001/45/EC) came into force into April 2005 with no transitional period!
We also must disclose the asbestos audits and risk assessments for the property we ask you to attend to ensure you or your operatives are aware of any risks.
The reality of the need to manage risk was brought home to Ringley in 2005 when a contractor fell through on a corrugated asbestos sheet roof at a Ringley managed site. That contractor did not undertake a risk assessment and a court case against the management company did have to be settled. In 2008 a school caretaker fell off his ladder and won legal action against the school for not training him how to use his ladder.
